WASHINGTON, D.C.—The American Public Health Association (APHA) Vision Care Section is requesting presentations of original research on public health issues pertaining to vision and eyecare for its 141st Annual Meeting to be held in Boston, Nov. 2 to 6, 2013.

The theme of the meeting is "Think Global, Act Local: Best Practices Around the World." Submissions from all disciplines are welcome, and interdisciplinary work and student abstracts are encouraged. Abstracts are due the week of Feb. 4 to 8, 2013. All authors will be notified via e-mail of the status of their abstract on Monday, June 3, 2013.

Abstracts should be no more than 250 words. While it is not necessary to be an APHA member to submit an abstract https://apha.confex.com/apha/141am/oasys.epl, all those who are accepted for presentation must become an Individual member and must register for the meeting by the September pre-registration deadline. (APHA Learning Institute faculty excluded.) Abstracts cannot be presented or published in any journal prior to Nov. 6, 2013.
