ALEXANDRIA, Va.—Registration has opened for The Vision Council’s 2013 Executive Summit, the business strategy and networking event for senior and C-level executives. The annual meeting will return to The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, in Miami, Fla., Jan. 16 to 18, and is expected to draw more than 250 key players from the vision industry, according to an announcement from The Vision Council

“There’s no other event in our industry that brings together the same quality and diversity of top-tier talent and companies in a face-to-face setting,” said Jamie Shyer, chairman of The Vision Council's board of directors. “This is the best place to learn, collaborate, and analyze trends.”

The 2013 program will deliver seven sessions offering insight from industry experts on topics designed to help companies drive innovation, build a sound business strategy and implement relevant leadership tactics. Keynote speaker, Eric Ryan, co-founder of Method Products, Inc., brings his knowledge and passion for successfully building retail and consumer concepts. Back by popular demand, senior economist Andrew Duguay with the Institute for Trend Research will provide an important economic update and forecast market trends.

Additional meeting features include a breakout on building customer loyalty, a leadership workshop designed to prime organizations for success and profit, and an industry panel on The Future of Eyewear Retail. More than 12-hours of dedicated networking time and division-specific meetings, including the first-ever Sunglass & Reader Division Power Breakfast and a breakthrough Strategic Planning Meeting for members of The Vision Council’s Lens Processing Technology Division, will round out the event.
