HONG KONG—Mondottica International Ltd. announced that it has signed an eyewear license agreement with Yohji Yamamoto. The agreement is worldwide and includes both the Yohji Yamamoto and Y’s brands.

Including renewal periods, the license can run for nine years, a company statement said, adding that the first eyewear collections under the brands are expected to reach the market in 2014.

Mondottica Group’s Michael Jardine, chairman, said, “Mondottica is proud to work with Yohji Yamamoto and to be associated with his legendary brands. This will hold an honored position at the top of the Mondottica family of wonderful brands.”

Yohji Yamamoto, said Mondottica, “ is one of the world’s most influential and enigmatic designers.
