WESTBURY, N.Y.— Match Eyewear has appointed Sam Herskowitz to the position of chief operating officer, effective immediately, according to an announcement from the company.

Herskowitz brings more than 20 years of vision care industry experience to the Match Eyewear team. Prior to joining Match, he spent 17 years at Emerging Vision, Inc. where he recently served as president of both the Combine Buying Group in the U.S. and The Optical Group in Canada. Prior to that, as the president of the Retail Franchise Division, Herskowitz led both the Sterling Optical and Site for Sore Eyes franchise groups from 2007 to 2010. Other posts held during his tenure included chief operating officer, chief marketing officer and vice president of marketing for Sterling Optical.
