The American Music Award were just a couple of weeks ago and the Grammy nominations were just announced so Bold Face has music on the mind. In this edition, we thought it appropriate to feature some of the most successful pop stars of the year…

His latest album, Euphoria, has Enrique Iglesias on tour across the globe performing hits like I Like It and Tonight (I’m Lovin’ You). In what was one of the more interesting pairings of the night, Enrique Iglesias joined forces with Ludacris at the 2011 American Music Awards on Nov. 20 to perform the two songs. Iglesias was also up for a trophy in the Latin Artist category but lost out to Jennifer Lopez. Here the Latin heartthrob wears the Michael Kors MKS153M from Marchon

Katy Perry was presented a surprise Special Award for becoming the first woman ever to have five #1 singles from one album at the 2011 American Music Award after performing her new single, The One That Got Away. The One That Got Away is the sixth single from the singer’s record breaking album Teenage Dream. In the video for the song, Perry can be seen wearing a pair of gold Carrera 1 metal aviator sunglasses which are part of the brand’s recently re-launched vintage collection from Safilo

Usher didn’t perform at the American Music Awards this year as he did in 2010 but he did walk away with the trophy for Favorite Soul/R&B Male Artist for the second year in a row beating out Chris Brown and Trey Songz. His latest project is the video for the new Romeo Santos single Promise on which he is featured. In the video one of the “sexiest men alive” by both People and Glamour magazines’ standards is wearing the Max sunglasses in graphite from Sama Eyewear

Though not technically a pop star, Jenny McCarthy got her career start in 1995 on MTV has the host of the dating show Singled Out. She was on hand at the recent AMAs to introduce will.i.am and Jennifer Lopez’s perform the song T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever). After which she presented the Favorite Pop/Rock Album Award. Adele won the award for her album 21 and McCarthy accepted on her behalf in the singer’s absence. Most significant of all though was that the former Playboy Playmate did it all in a bold pair of Wisdom X optical frames from Alexander Daas!
