Funny men are sexy, throw in some glasses and no question, Bold Face is on board. In this week’s edition we highlight three amusing men and their stylish spectacles…

The talented and multi-faceted Tyler Perry recently released his latest film in his popular Madea franchise, Madea’s Witness Protection, earlier this summer. An actor, director, screen and playwright, producer, author and songwriter, Perry actually wrote and stars in the comedy as the title character. Madea’s particular sassy brand of humor plays out through hilarious threats of physical violence, sarcasm and a tendency to overreact. It’s a role that has Perry laughing all the way to the bank with Forbes naming him the highest paid man in entertainment, earning $130 million between May 2010 and 2011. When not in drag to play the role, Perry is a very dapper man; here he oozes swagger in his subtly patterned tuxedo jacket and the Salvatore Ferragamo SF2620 optical style from Marchon

Anyone who has seen an episode of HBO’s former series Entourage knows that Jeremy Piven, playing the fast-talking, acerbic Hollywood agent Ari Gold, is a funny man. His resume includes several comedies and at the end of the year we will get to see him on the big screen again alongside Miley Cyrus in So Undercover. The film, about a tough, street-smart private eye (Cyrus) who is hired by the FBI to go undercover in a college sorority, is bound to be funny… whether it’s meant to be or not. Piven was recently in London filming the TV mini-series, Mr. Selfridge, and had the opportunity to take in some 2012 Olympic events. In order to see the Olympians compete better, Piven wore the Federico optical style from Sama

Steve Carell’s comedic chops could never be in dispute. The man is downright hilarious. This summer we saw him take on a darker sort of humor in the apocalyptic comedy Seeking a Friend For The End Of The World. During the promotional tour for the film, Carell was snapped at several different events, including The Ellen DeGeneres Show and The Daily with Jon Stewart sporting the Blake optical frames from Barton Perreira. Have no fear though; Carell will be revisiting his true comedy roots in several upcoming films, including the highly-anticipated Anchorman 2 with Will Ferrell, slated for release in 2013!
