Not all of summer’s movies are large budget action flicks. In this week’s Bold Face we feature the stars of three upcoming films that will entertain audiences with heart and humor…even if it is a little off color…

AnnaSophia Robb starts as Susanna in the summer comedy-drama The Way, Way Back. The film, which premiered at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, is the story of 14-year-old Duncan’s summer vacation with his mother (Toni Collette) and her overhearing boyfriend (Steve Carell). Duncan (Liam James) typically has a hard time fitting in, but throughout the summer he slowly begins to open up and finally find his place in the world thanks to Owen (Sam Rockwell), the manager of the Water Wizz Water Park, and Susanna, his love interest, who give him a summer he will never forget. Robb is pictured here in the Lacoste L658S sun style from Marchon. The Way, Way Back opens July 12, 2013…

Emma Roberts attended the Persol Magnificent Obsessions event in New York on July 10 wearing the Persol PO3025S sunglasses from Luxottica. Roberts is no doubt about to begin the press circuit for her latest project, the comedy We’re the Millers. The film is about a small-time pot dealer, played by Jason Sudeikis, who hires a fake family as camouflage in order to smuggle two metric tons of weed from Mexico to Colorado. The rest of his “family” consists of a cynical stripper (Jennifer Aniston) who plays his wife, as well as a homeless teen (Roberts) and a geeky neighborhood kid (newcomer Will Poulter) as their children. We’re the Millers hits theaters on Aug. 8, 2013…

Sofia Vergara was recently snapped wearing the Tom Ford Jennifer sunglasses from Marcolin in LAX. Vergara took a break from her Modern Family duties last summer to film Machete Kills. The plot centers around the U.S. government’s recruitment of Machete (played by Danny Trejo), an ex-federale, who battles his way through Mexico in order to take down an arms dealer who wants to launch a weapon into space. Directed by Robert Rodriguez, it is the second in a series that started with 2010’s Machete (presaged by a fake trailer in 2007’s Grindhouse). Trejo, Jessica Alba and Michelle Rodriguez will be reprising their roles and are joined by series newcomers Vergara, Amber Heard, Antonio Banderas, Zoe Saldana, Edward James Olmos, Cuba Gooding Jr., Lady Gaga and Mel Gibson. Machete Kills will be released Oct. 4, 2013…
