COLUMBIA, S.C.— Colonial Life & Accident Insurance Co. has partnered with Superior Vision to provide vision insurance coverage to employer groups across all industry segments. The vision insurance includes comprehensive eye exams, eyeglass frames and lenses, contact lenses, a contact lens fitting exam and discounts on additional eyeglasses and contact lenses. Other available vision plan benefits include discounts on many lens upgrades and online ordering and home delivery of most major brands of contact lenses.

Employer groups may choose a full benefits package or a plan that includes eyeglasses and contact lenses without the exam. Employees can sign up for the vision plan as part of their regular workplace benefits enrollment and can pay premiums through payroll deduction.

Superior Vision manages a provider network of more than 48,000 ophthalmologists, optometrists, opticians, and regional and national retail chain locations, including LensCrafters, Pearle Vision, Wal-Mart Vision Centers, Target Optical, Sam’s Club, America’s Best and Visionworks. Superior Vision has been in the managed vision care market for 20 years and serves millions of members and thousands of clients nationwide.

“Our partnership with Colonial Life is a natural fit for us and showcases the similarities in values and business practices between our two companies,” said Rick Corbett, president and CEO of Superior Vision. “People want quality care coupled with convenient locations and service hours. Superior Vision has one of the country’s largest and most diverse provider networks and shares Colonial Life’s focus on excellent customer service.”
