MEXICO CITY—On March 1, HAL Holding signed an agreement to acquire a 25 percent interest in Grupo Optico Lux, the 69-store optical chain based here.
As part of the deal, HAL also received an option to purchase an additional 45 percent of the Mexican chain.

SMITHFIELD, R.I.—Shareholders of FGX International Holdings Ltd. voted today to approve the proposed acquisition by Paris-based Essilor International, according to an 8-K filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
