July 6, 2012 4:00 PM

Bold Face explores the cult of celebrity and the styles, trends and brands that stars show off in movies, at events and living their daily lives. To be considered for inclusion please contact senior editor, Deirdre Carroll.

TV hosting gig are not as easy as they seem. In this edition of Bold Face we feature three celebs who are exceling at the genre and highlighting their sunwear of choice…

Savannah Guthrie got her start as a White House correspondent. Since then she has become a staple in the NBC family, both behind the scenes and in front of the camera. On July 9, she officially debuts as co-host The Today Show, alongside Matt Lauer, Natalie Morales and Al Roker. The four of them will discuss current news topics, ranging from politics, entertainment, food, fashion and other topics. Guthrie wears the Valentino V611S from Marchon

Intimately familiar The Today Show hosting duties, Katie Couric co-hosted the show for 15 years. She has also anchored the CBS Evening News and reported for 60 Minutes and Dateline NBC. She was the first solo female anchor of a weekday evening news program on one of the major networks and this September she will host Katie, a syndicated daytime talk show. Recently, she stopped by the Robert Marc Madison Avenue boutique to celebrate its opening. Couric is wearing the Robert Marc style 653 in Sapphire and Robert Marc is wearing style 748 in gold with spotted tortoise…

Samuel L. Jackson is new to hosting gigs but by all accounts he is a natural. The Academy Award nominee hosted the 2012 BET Awards, which were broadcast live July 1 from the Historic Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Given that Jackson is “one bad mutha,” he seemed like the perfect choice to headline a show that celebrates the best in R&B, hip-hop, gospel and music videos. Jackson’s swagger is in full effect in this promotional shot of him sporting a burgundy velvet blazer and the AL1207 part of the Alain Mikli Mileage Collection.
