Samuel L. Jackson is new to hosting gigs but by all accounts he is a natural. The Academy Award nominee hosted the 2012 BET Awards, which were broadcast live July 1 from the Historic Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Given that Jackson is “one bad mutha,” he seemed like the perfect choice to headline a show that celebrates the best in R&B, hip-hop, gospel and music videos.
