Best in Class 2012: A Perfect Fit
The students in VM’s “Best in Class 2012” Special Report have been
selected by their respective schools for this feature. They all have
excellent academic achievement and have received awards and
scholarships, but they have also distinguished themselves by doing
research projects, going on volunteer missions and participating in
professional organizations.
For some of these recent grads, they had been exposed to the optical
industry early on, or were given encouragement by people in the field.
For others, opticianry represents a new career. Some of this year’s
graduates came to opticianry via optometry, publishing—even roofing.
However they came into the profession, all the new opticians wanted to
be in the health care industry and found opticianry to be the right fit
for them.
Vision Monday is proud to present this new group of promising
graduates in this special section, underwritten by an unrestricted grant
from Essilor USA.
